Prof Wangari Mwai

Prof. Mwai is a Full Professor of Literature. She is an Administrator, Researcher, and trainer of trainers and facilitators who has worked in various institutions of learning and Community related (NON) Governmental organizations in Kenya.She enjoys leading teams through research processes up to and beyond and dissemination to the uptake of research findings as evidence based solutions to emerging challenges.Prof. Mwai is a Regional Gender Consultant has had opportunity to work with United Nations Agencies and international organizations including UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNWOMEN ,USAID and the World Bank within the ESARO region. She is an internationally certified Trainer of Trainers and Facilitators in Gender and Leadership.She is a gender trainer herself and a tried and tested leader in the university, the society in general and the church in particular. She has exemplary skills in participatory research and training with special emphasis in Art Based Community Research approaches (AbRA) and the use Community Friendly skills to disseminate findings . These include Ora Media for Development and Theatre In Research and Development (Th.I.R.D).Currently, she is working very closely with young adults in her position as the Deputy Vice Chancellor- student Affairs at United States International University –Africa (USIU-A)
