Dr. Wilson Winstons Muhwezi is an expert in public policy on especially issues of health. He is an expert in applied and basic research as well as monitoring and evaluation. He is a Director of Research at Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE) and an Associate Professor of Behavioural Sciences & Mental Health in the School of Medicine, Makerere University College of Health Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Social Administration Degree (BA. SWSA) from Makerere University, a Master of Philosophy in Health Promotion (MPhil) from the University of Bergen, Norway and a PhD offered jointly by Karolisnka Medical University, Stockholm, Sweden and Makerere University, Kampala. He has over 20 years’ experience in basic and applied research, policy analysis and advocacy. He is experienced in situational analyses; monitoring and evaluation work and public health. He has mentored students at Makerere University and Uganda Christian University. The uniqueness of his competence is rooted in his involvement with all matters that straddle social sciences and health sciences. Dr. Muhwezi has authored over 30 scholarly articles and got them published in international peer reviewed journals, policy research papers and policy briefs on several topical issues and many consultancy reports. He is result oriented, highly analytical and self-motivated. He is comfortable in multi-disciplinary teams.
