This module covers the theoretical and practical application of the concepts and principles of setting up and managing gender-responsive evaluation policies and systems.
The module is designed to equip participants with knowledge and skills to take on a strategic role in strengthening demand for gender-responsive evaluation at the national level. This training is expected to be used in support of countries continuing and emerging efforts to develop and strengthen gender-responsive evaluation systems. Users may include members of international, regional and national Voluntary
Organizations of Professional Evaluators (VOPEs), parliamentarian forums focusing on evaluation; national evaluation systems and offices; and international, regional and national knowledge management networks focusing on gender and/or evaluation.
Evaluation is an essential aspect of good governance to improve learning and development effectiveness, transparency, accountability and informed decision-making in support of achieving gender-responsive and equitable development results.
National development policies and programmes need to be informed by evidence on gender equality issues generated by credible national Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems.
Evaluations that uncover how national policies and programmes impact women, men, girls and boys are central for changing awareness and for decision-making.
They can be instrumental to improving the implementation of national commitments to achieve gender equality, social and equitable development.
At the end of the module, learners will be able to:
1. Identify core behavior and practices that characterize transformational leaders
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the transformational mindsets in leadership
3. Develop action plans to address Identified gaps in social systems and organizational structures.
4. Create a clear vision; understand their purpose and manage their resources to improve their leadership effectiveness
5.Development of a 5-year personal development plan for their transformational journey.
Being a part of this organization and community has been a deeply fulfilling part of my life for the past few years. In June of 2016 I trained with ACTIL and it has changed my life as a human and as an educator. If you are looking to sharpen your skills on leadership, and even more specifically looking to mentor with a purpose, I cannot say enough about how truly incredible this organization is.
As an educator ACTIL taught me the skill of teaching from the heart. The power in telling personal stories and things people can relate to. I have realized the mode of training not just the head and hands but more importantly the heart has great power to change people's mindsets and hence their lives. For me, it transformed how I deliver education. So grateful always for the opportunity.
